Scottie Scheffler has now reached the elite $100 million club alongside golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after a commanding victory at The American Express to kick off his season. The current world No.1 has sent a strong message to the reigning Masters champion that he is a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Major tournaments.
Last year, Scheffler faced an injury setback in January when a wine glass he was using to shape ravioli shattered in his hand during the Christmas period. However, he has made a remarkable comeback in 2026, finishing with a six-under 66 to secure a four-shot win at 27-under par in California. This victory marked his 20th title on the PGA Tour in the last four years, granting him a lifetime membership.
With his latest prize money of $1.656 million, Scheffler’s total on-course earnings have surpassed $101 million, aligning him with the financial success of Woods and McIlroy on the PGA Tour. At 29, Scheffler has also achieved the impressive feat of securing 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30, a feat previously accomplished only by Woods and Jack Nicklaus.
Reflecting on his achievements, Scheffler expressed his humility, stating, “Any time you can get mentioned with those guys it means you’re doing some stuff right.” His consistency and dominance on the course have been evident, with 11 more wins than McIlroy since his first victory at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Notably, Scheffler has maintained a strong performance record, finishing no lower than T-8 since The Players tournament last March.
