Jake Paul Urged to Drop Advisors Ahead of Joshua Bout

Jake Paul received harsh advice to dismiss his advisors shortly before his upcoming bout with Anthony Joshua. The boxing newcomer has shown significant progress in the sport since turning pro in 2020, mainly taking on former UFC stars like Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley. Despite some wins, his only loss was against Tommy Fury in 2023.

While typically a cruiserweight, Paul will step up a weight class to face Joshua, although he does have some experience in the heavyweight division. Notably, he secured a dominating victory over heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in November 2024.

Critics have expressed concerns about Paul’s well-being leading up to the fight, with British heavyweight talent Moses Itauma openly criticizing the event scheduled for December 19. The showdown between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is set to happen in Miami, streaming live on Netflix through Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle.

Itauma’s comments reflect apprehension about the match, emphasizing the need for Paul to consider the potential outcomes beyond financial gains. Despite the controversy, Itauma remains focused on his own upcoming fight against Jermaine Franklin on January 24 and aims to silence his critics.

The clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul in Miami on December 19, just before Christmas, is expected to take place around 11pm local time, catering to the American audience. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, subject to potential timing changes based on the undercard duration.
