During a White House press briefing on Tuesday, just ahead of the US Supreme Court reviewing Trump’s tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China, Leavitt addressed concerns raised by CNN’s Kristen Holmes regarding Trump’s recent MRI scan. Leavitt reiterated Trump’s statement that he would consult with physicians for more details, emphasizing that the President’s physical health report earlier this year confirmed his optimal health status.
In response to Holmes emphasizing the specificity of an MRI procedure compared to routine check-ups, Leavitt assured that the MRI was part of a follow-up appointment and offered to provide a detailed summary of the physical examination again if needed.
Trump’s health has recently drawn increased attention following public appearances that sparked speculation about his well-being. Reports of bruises on his hands and swollen ankles raised concerns, but his doctor released an update in October stating that Trump’s cardiovascular age is significantly younger than his actual age.
Notably, Trump reportedly underwent a routine yearly checkup at Walter Reed Medical Centre in Bethesda, Maryland, where Navy Captain Sean Barbabella affirmed the President’s exceptional health across various medical aspects.
