“Wetherspoon’s January Sale: Pints from 99p, Gourmet Jackets & Discounts”

Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting at just 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99.

Customers can also enjoy a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are available for 99p each. Additionally, discounts are offered on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.

For those craving jacket potatoes, there’s an option to get six for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Fillings range from tuna mayo, coleslaw, and chilli bean non-carne to cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. Customers can add an extra filling or side salad for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are also available, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic beverage.

The loaded spud features cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, while the Mexican spud, a vegetarian choice, comes with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, and coriander. Lastly, the smoky potato is topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman, Tim Martin, stated that the January Sale is timed to coincide with sales in retail stores, offering a wide range of drinks and food to cater to diverse tastes, including a selection of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, except in Scotland where it starts on January 3. Prices may vary at the company’s other 200 venues.
