The AA has warned drivers to be prepared for breakdowns on the first working Monday of the year, known as “manic Monday.” More than 22 million car journeys are expected, so it’s crucial to check your vehicle, especially if it has been unused during the Christmas period.

Last year, there was a 27% increase in breakdown requests on the first working Monday compared to a regular Monday. Shaun Jones from the AA emphasized the importance of preparing your car to avoid unnecessary stress and frustration during the return to work after the holiday season.
