A 13-year-old boy tragically passed away after slipping off a cliff, with his devastated father being the first to discover him.
Kayleb Lynn Eddings was hiking with a friend when he lost his footing near the edge of Brewer Bluff on Saturday, causing a 200-foot fall.
Emergency responders, including park staff, search-and-rescue teams, fire crews, and Survival Flight, quickly mobilized. Fire department members rappelled down the bluff while park rangers approached from the river below.
The teenager, identified as Kayleb Lynn Eddings, was found unresponsive by his father, Toby Eddings, who was one of the first to reach him. Tragically, the teen succumbed to his injuries from the fall.
Residing near the bluff in Searcy County, Arkansas, the family of the 13-year-old is now grappling with the loss.

The young victim, Zhihan Zhao, and his family, who had recently arrived in Ireland, were visiting the Cliffs of Moher, a popular tourist destination.
During a walk with his mother and friends, the incident occurred, resulting in Zhihan’s fatal fall. Witnesses recalled the harrowing moment leading to his accidental death.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Zhihan’s demise was due to multiple traumatic injuries consistent with a fall from a height, with the verdict being accidental death.
