A man who suffered a severe injury in an accident involving a forklift expressed his gratitude towards his wife for her extraordinary support. Loren Schauers, who was only 18 years old at the time of the devastating incident that resulted in the lower half of his body being detached, has been on a challenging journey to recovery since then.
Recently, Loren took to his Instagram account to publicly acknowledge his wife’s dedication and assistance. He shared a post showcasing his wife, Sabia, fixing issues with his computer, praising her efforts and expressing his deep appreciation for her unwavering support.
Loren, now a former laborer, faced a life-altering event in September 2019 when he was involved in a construction accident that led to the loss of half of his body. Despite the traumatic experience and the subsequent amputation of his lower body, Loren managed to survive the ordeal bravely.
Recounting the accident, Loren revealed that he was conscious throughout the harrowing incident, where a forklift mishap led to catastrophic injuries. With his pelvis shattered by the four-ton vehicle, he had to undergo the difficult decision to undergo the amputation procedure in order to survive.
Now at the age of 24, Loren is happily married to Sabia Reiche, who stood by him during the darkest moments of his recovery. Despite being told multiple times by doctors that he might not survive, Loren credits his wife’s unwavering support and the presence of his family for helping him make the tough choice to continue living.
