“Has Fiona Been Unmasked as The Traitors’ Secret Traitor?”

Since the latest season of The Traitors premiered on January 1, speculation has been rife about the identity of the enigmatic Secret Traitor. Viewers eagerly anticipated the upcoming episode on January 8, promising to unveil the Secret Traitor, but I may have a clue to their identity before that.

The previous episode, aired on January 3, featured the Secret Traitor in a red cloak making a dramatic appearance at the turret to reveal themselves to the regular Traitors, Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question remains – who could this mysterious figure be?

In my view, the Secret Traitor can only be one individual – Fiona. Let me elaborate on why I believe this.

Speculation has been rampant regarding the Secret Traitor’s identity and motives. For instance, Ellie was caught mentioning the term ‘Secret Traitor’ in a conversation on camera.

On the other hand, some suspect that Harriet might be the Secret Traitor following a confrontational exchange with fellow barrister Hugo.

So, why am I so convinced that Fiona is the one?

There is a distinct pattern I’ve observed where Fiona excels at subtly instigating conflicts while deflecting blame onto others, a tactic overlooked by the other participants.

For instance, during the incident involving Ross and Ben, it became evident that a Traitor must have been present to know about Ben’s instructions regarding Ross. Despite this, the Traitors failed to consider the possibility that the Secret Traitor was also in the room, implicating Ben in the process.

Fiona conveniently brought up Ben’s statement the morning after his demise but claimed to have forgotten the specifics, shifting the responsibility to Jessie to relay the information to the group.

This strategic move aimed to raise suspicions without directly incurring blame.

Furthermore, Fiona raised doubts about Hugo and Rachel, both Traitors, alleging a change in their behavior from the train to the Castle setting.

Her actions suggested prior knowledge of their roles, using it as a pretext to implicate them.

Yet again, Fiona redirected the blame by attributing her suspicions to Amanda’s suggestion, portraying herself as an innocent bystander.

During the roundtable discussion, Amanda disclosed that Fiona sought her advice, indicating Fiona’s attempt to shift accountability by involving others in the accusations.

This tactic proved effective as Hugo directed his response towards Amanda instead of Fiona during the discussion, leading some to suspect Amanda instead.

Historically, successful Traitors avoid overt involvement and manipulate others to speak on their behalf to evade detection, a strategy that Fiona seems to be employing.

Moreover, Fiona, a 62-year-old local government officer from Swansea, Wales, acknowledged in a personal recording her intention to deceive others with a facade of innocence.

While the evidence strongly points to Fiona as the Secret Traitor, the final revelation awaits on Wednesday.
