Thousands of emails related to Epstein have been disclosed by U.S. lawmakers, revealing troubling information about Donald Trump. The 20,000 pages of documents were released by the estate of the deceased financier to the House Oversight Committee, comprising members from both political parties.
One email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell in 2011 referred to Trump as the “dog that hasn’t barked” and mentioned Trump spending “hours at my house.” The emails also touch on Prince Andrew denying any involvement in sex abuse allegations and requesting Epstein to confirm his innocence.
The emails shed light on various aspects, including Epstein’s discussions with journalist Michael Wolff about Trump’s knowledge of certain matters. Trump has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s illegal activities, emphasizing their estranged relationship prior to Epstein’s death.
Additionally, there are references in the emails to an unnamed victim being at Epstein’s residence with Trump, prompting further scrutiny. The White House clarified that the victim mentioned was Virginia Giuffre, who affirmed Trump’s lack of involvement in any wrongdoing.
Furthermore, a separate email exchange shows Wolff seeking advice from Epstein on questions to ask Trump during an interview. Mandelson, a former UK Ambassador, is also mentioned in the emails, advising Epstein against an interview with the BBC.
