A young girl, Kasey-Lei Greene, tragically passed away after hugging her father goodbye before heading to the cinema in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The 13-year-old collapsed while watching a movie at the Vox Cinema, despite efforts by doctors who worked on her for two hours before she was rushed to the hospital. Sadly, she could not be revived and was pronounced dead due to a suspected cardiac arrest.
Kasey’s family, including her parents Marc and Manda, returned to the UK for her funeral, where a large crowd gathered to pay their respects. The funeral procession was adorned with pink and black ribbons, reflecting the love and support for Kasey. Her untimely passing deeply impacted her family and friends, with many joining the funeral service virtually from Abu Dhabi.
Before Kasey left for the cinema, she shared a heartfelt moment with her father by taking a photo together, unknowingly creating a lasting memory. Described as bubbly and outgoing, Kasey had a talent for bringing people together and making friends easily. In memory of Kasey, her family initiated a fundraising campaign called Kasey’s Wells of Life to support the construction of water wells in Africa. Additionally, a Halloween party fundraiser is being hosted to celebrate Kasey’s favorite time of the year and raise funds for this charitable cause.
