Royal Rift: Harry & Meghan Excluded from Sandringham Christmas

With Christmas approaching, invitations for the Royal Family’s annual festive celebrations at Sandringham have reportedly been dispatched. Each year, King Charles and Queen Camilla play host to the extended family at Sandringham on December 25, providing an opportunity for the royals to bond over the holiday season.

The day’s activities typically include exchanging gifts, attending the Christmas Day church service, and sharing a meal together, creating cherished moments for the family. However, not all Royal relatives receive invitations. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who stepped back from Royal duties in 2020, are not anticipated to be on the guest list this year.

Despite being the King’s youngest son, Prince Harry has not partaken in Christmas festivities with his Royal family since 2018, the year preceding the birth of his son, Prince Archie. Recent reports suggest that Prince Louis may soon reach a significant milestone akin to his cousin Archie.

Although there have been efforts to mend relations between the King and Prince Harry, it is improbable that Harry and Meghan will be welcomed at Sandringham due to lingering tensions within the Royal family. Reports indicate that their relationships with other senior royals, particularly Prince William, remain strained, with Harry reportedly not engaging in conversations with his elder brother.

The rift is believed to stem from decisions made by Harry and Meghan following their departure from Royal life, such as their high-profile interviews and public appearances. Speculation suggests that the Royal family may harbor reservations about fully trusting Prince Harry due to his disclosures of private moments and conversations.

Recent statements from Harry have hinted at a focus on rebuilding his relationship with his father, signaling a desire for reconciliation within the family. Despite not attending Sandringham Christmas celebrations for several years, Prince Harry and Meghan are said to have cherished these moments in the past, with Meghan expressing a sense of belonging among the extended Royal family.

Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have yet to experience a Christmas at Sandringham, missing out on the traditional holiday gathering.
