Luxury Pirate Party Turns Tragic: Father’s Death Exposes Safety Concerns

A daughter has shared a harrowing account of her father’s sudden death during a pirate-themed boat party, raising concerns about safety measures on such trips. Nakita Colville, 27, was on a supposed ‘luxury pirate ship’ excursion in Turkey with her family and around 600 other guests when tragedy struck. Her father, Peter Colville, went for a swim at the second spot but tragically vanished, only to be found lifeless in the water shortly after.

Witnessing her father turning purple, Nakita and her sister, among others, pulled him out of the sea while the boat staff reportedly appeared indifferent and failed to provide immediate CPR. Shockingly, instead of seeking urgent help, the staff continued the festivities despite acknowledging the loss.

The ill-fated cruise, known as Legend Big Kral, offered extravagant entertainment including foam parties. Nakita, an administrative assistant, noted her father’s unease at the lack of guest verification upon boarding. Despite his concerns, Peter joined in the activities, displaying his swimming prowess as an experienced snorkeler and family man.

Tragedy struck when screams erupted at the swimming location, and Peter was discovered afloat in distress. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital following a delayed coastguard response. Nakita later learned that the boat party continued as if nothing had happened, leaving her and others shocked by the crew’s apparent disregard for the situation.

Following the incident, critical reviews surfaced, condemning the crew’s handling of the emergency as incompetent and insensitive. Despite investigations in both the UK and Turkey, the cause of Peter’s death remains unknown. Nakita has expressed concerns about the safety standards of overseas party boats, fearing that without reforms, more tragedies could occur.
