Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent activities by not meeting her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors collectively put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with a focus on enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as per the complaint filed in federal court in Delaware.

Investors claimed that they were promised active participation from Gomez, who boasts a massive social media following of over 500 million followers, in spearheading the company’s marketing efforts. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives failed to deliver on commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.

According to the lawsuit, Gomez allegedly agreed to contractual obligations but did not follow through, leading to the perception that there was no legitimate business operation in progress. The plaintiffs further stated that the company failed to fulfill even the most basic responsibilities, like timely payments to employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The legal action contends that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were exposed in an online news report in September 2025. The plaintiffs are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred.
