“Glen Powell Reveals Action Stars’ Secret at NY Comic Con”

During a recent appearance at New York Comic Con to promote his upcoming movie, “The Running Man,” actor Glen Powell shared a behind-the-scenes secret he learned from veteran Hollywood action stars. Powell, 36, is set to play the lead role of Ben Richards in the remake of the classic film originally portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

At the panel discussion, Powell revealed that he observed the old action stars engaging in pre-scene rituals involving weightlifting to pump up before filming. He humorously admitted to adopting this practice for himself. Powell also reminisced about his past collaboration with Schwarzenegger in “Expendables 3,” recalling a memorable moment of riding a tank with the action legend.

Powell, alongside co-star Lee Pace and director Edgar Wright, engaged with fans at the Comic Con event, showcasing exclusive trailers and clips from “The Running Man.” Wright announced that the film is set to hit theaters on November 14, offering a modern adaptation of the original story by Stephen King. In this version, Powell’s character competes in a deadly reality TV show where survival is the ultimate prize.

The panel discussion, held at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan as part of the New York Comic Con, drew enthusiastic fans eager to learn more about the upcoming blockbuster. The convention, running from October 9-12, 2025, brought together fans of Wright, King, and Powell, creating a buzz around the highly anticipated movie release.
