Myleene Klass faced a series of alarming letters and gifts from her stalker, Peter Windsor, who was recently convicted of his actions. The broadcaster described feeling intense fear due to the disturbing correspondence sent to her workplace, including items like an air pistol, handcuffs, and a police uniform. Windsor, from Mary Road in Birmingham, also targeted Myleene’s Classic FM colleague, Katie Breathwick, by sending her unsettling packages, such as a will-writing kit and erratic mail.
The incidents occurred between March 2020 and August 2024, with jurors deliberating for several hours before reaching a guilty verdict. Windsor’s behavior extended to sending handwritten notes and peculiar gifts to Katie, causing her distress. Myleene was informed about the situation by her colleague, who received numerous items and messages from the stalker.
In one of the letters, Windsor referred to Myleene as a “naughty vixen” and expressed his desire to spend time with both women near a lake while drinking champagne. Despite a previous arrest for sending a disturbing letter to Nicola Sturgeon, Windsor claimed it was a joke, causing further concern for Myleene’s safety.
Myleene disclosed that Royal Mail intercepted an air pistol package addressed to her, heightening the seriousness of the situation. The stalker’s letters contained cryptic messages and peculiar references, adding to the distress experienced by both Myleene and Katie. The court adjourned for sentencing, considering potential prison or hospital orders for Windsor.
During the trial, Windsor’s defense barrister highlighted his long-standing paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis, emphasizing his mental health challenges. Despite using various names and changing his surname, Windsor continued sending unsolicited correspondence without being deterred by warnings or legal action.
