“Drill Rapper Mastermind Sentenced to 33 Years”

A criminal mastermind who directed a shooter in a deadly attack on a finance student has been sentenced to 33 years in prison. Bailey McKenzie, also known as drill rapper Billy Billions, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and possessing a firearm with intent to harm. The sentencing judge, Philip Katz, was informed of a threat McKenzie posted on Instagram targeting the judge and the prosecutor, claiming unfair treatment in his trial.

Despite not being present during the attack in Hackney, east London, McKenzie was implicated in orchestrating the violent incident. Digital forensic technology connected him to the crime, which resulted in serious injuries to innocent bystanders caught in the gang-related crossfire. The court revealed McKenzie’s involvement in a longstanding feud between the Holly Street Gang and his own London Fields group, culminating in the tragic shooting.

McKenzie’s criminal history includes prior convictions for weapons offenses and affray, leading to a separate 13-year prison term for a firearms violation. His Instagram activity, showcasing his drill music and location as “HMP Prison Belmarsh,” raised concerns about his continued criminal influence from behind bars.

In a related development, three other individuals involved in the shooting received significant prison sentences. Reuel Briscoe, Dalvane Greenaway, and Julian Kalala were each handed lengthy jail terms for their roles in the violent incident. The court emphasized the detrimental impact of gang warfare on communities, highlighting the need to address such criminal activities to prevent further tragedies.
