Research indicates that reducing poverty increases the likelihood of children securing good jobs or training opportunities and alleviates the burden on the healthcare system.
Nurses in hospitals have reported seeing numerous children facing poverty-related issues, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Labour remains steadfast in its commitment to combating child poverty, emphasizing the significant impact political decisions can have in this regard. Labour’s track record demonstrates a decrease in child poverty under their governance, underscoring their dedication to providing every child with an equitable start in life.
