Top military leaders from Russia and the United States are raising alarms about the increasing likelihood of a catastrophic global conflict, heightening concerns of an impending Third World War.
According to reports, one of Russia’s objectives is to obliterate Britain with a massive nuclear assault, while former American military Commander in Europe, Ben Hodges, has cautioned Vladimir Putin that any attack on Poland would provoke a devastating response from NATO.
Hodges emphasized that if Russia were to attack Poland as it did with Ukraine, NATO air and ground forces would swiftly neutralize the threat, with key Russian naval bases in Kaliningrad and Sevastopol being primary targets for elimination.
The retired lieutenant general stressed the urgency of fortifying Kaliningrad, home to Russia’s Baltic Fleet, to withstand potential attacks, emphasizing the need for robust defense measures and preparations for the civilian population.
In response to Hodges’ warnings, Andrey Gurulev, a retired Russian general and hardline MP, emphasized the necessity of readiness for a major conflict and preventing NATO’s aggressive intentions towards Kaliningrad and Sevastopol.
The looming specter of conflict has led to calls for strategic planning and preparedness, with concerns over the potential use of advanced weaponry such as the Tomahawk missile, which could spark a nuclear confrontation if deployed in Ukraine.
The gravity of the situation has prompted urgent calls for national readiness to thwart any hostile actions, with a focus on bolstering defenses and capabilities to counter potential threats.
