“Mercedes Provides Support to Struggling Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari”

Mercedes’ head of communications has revealed that team principal Toto Wolff has been offering support to former driver Lewis Hamilton during a tough season with Ferrari. The seven-time world champion has been struggling to adjust to the team, dealing with a car that is not performing well and questionable race strategies.

Hamilton’s difficulties were highlighted at the recent Qatar Grand Prix, where he was knocked out in Q1 of qualifying and finished outside the points in 12th place despite a comeback attempt during the race. Currently placed sixth in the drivers’ standings, Hamilton risks slipping to seventh after the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Expressing his disappointment with the unexpected challenges of his first season with Ferrari, Hamilton labeled 2025 as his “worst season ever,” despite giving his all on and off the track.

Although Hamilton has faced visible struggles throughout the season, Mercedes has offered personal support to him. The team’s chief communications officer, Bradley Lord, disclosed that they have been in discussions to assist Hamilton through this rough patch, with Toto Wolff accompanying him to race events for support.

In an interview with CHAMP1, Lord stated that they empathize with Hamilton’s situation and recognize his dedication and effort. They aim to uplift him during this challenging phase and believe in his potential to bounce back stronger in the future.

Looking ahead to the season finale in Abu Dhabi, Hamilton is focused on maintaining his sixth-place position in the drivers’ standings. With 152 points for the season, he is closely trailed by Kimi Antonelli with 150 points.

The upcoming race in Abu Dhabi signifies the end of Hamilton driving the current Ferrari model, which has presented numerous challenges for him. Additionally, Arthur Leclerc will replace Hamilton in the first free practice session.

Despite the challenging circumstances, team principal Fred Vasseur has encouraged the team to continue striving for success and remain focused for the upcoming seasons.

Ferrari is determined to end the season positively before shifting their complete focus to the 2026 campaign.
