A man has been found guilty of first-degree murder for killing his pregnant girlfriend in a tragic incident. The perpetrator, identified as Donovan Faison, was convicted by the jury after it was revealed that the victim, an 18-year-old named Kaylin Fiengo, was shot dead following her refusal to undergo an abortion.
The jury’s decision came swiftly after just two hours of deliberation, marking the conclusion of the 2022 murder case. Kaylin’s lifeless body was discovered inside a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound on November 11 of that year.
Investigations revealed that Kaylin was approximately three months pregnant when she was killed. Prior to her demise, she had engaged in multiple disputes with Faison regarding her choice to proceed with the pregnancy.
Authorities in Seminole County, near Orlando, Florida, are pushing for the death penalty for Faison. The sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, with the prosecution seeking justice for the heinous crime.
Shortly after Kaylin’s tragic death, an inquiry revealed that she had gone to Coastline Park with the intention of meeting someone familiar to her. At the time of her passing, Kaylin was also a mother to a one-year-old son.
Expressing relief at the conviction, Kaylin’s aunt, Tatiana Fiengo, stated, “We’ve been waiting a long time for this. It doesn’t bring her back, but at least he’s not out hurting other people.”

In contrast, England and Wales, with a significantly larger population than Florida, reported 590 homicide victims for the year ending March 2023, as per the Office for National Statistics.
