Pop sensation Justin Bieber surprised staff at a fish and chip shop in Scotland by serenading them with the menu, although the owner didn’t recognize him at first. The singer stopped by Cromars Fish and Chips in St Andrews, Fife, after attending the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Despite his low-key appearance, the team at the shop didn’t realize they were serving a global music icon until he started singing the menu to them.
The shop’s owner, Charles Mair, shared that they were extremely busy due to the nearby Dunhill Cup event, causing them to be unaware of Bieber’s identity initially. However, they eventually realized who he was when the local residents recognized him, leading to a surge in customers.
Bieber, who boasts a massive following on Instagram, patiently waited for his order of haddock and chips and remained polite throughout the busy period. He later shared glimpses of his Scottish adventure on social media, including a photo of himself outside Cromars Fish and Chips.
Speaking to the media, Charles described the atmosphere as lively and mentioned that Bieber was friendly and relaxed during his visit. The singer also made a stop at a pub in Dundee after his fish and chip shop experience, where he was spotted enjoying a drink and playing arcade games.
During his time in Scotland, the 31-year-old singer has been playing golf at Gleneagles and exploring various local establishments, delighting fans and surprising locals with his casual and approachable demeanor.
