“Four Premium Bond Holders Win £100,000 Each in Special Draw”

Four fortunate holders of Premium Bonds have each secured a £100,000 prize by acquiring their winning bonds exclusively in December. These bonds were only eligible for inclusion in the draw starting from February 2026, requiring ownership for a complete month. Notably, one of the £100,000 winners invested in a £50 bond in December 2025.

Among the winners, one individual resides in Essex and possesses a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds, while another lucky winner resides in Brighton and Hove with a winning bond valued at £13,000, holding a total of £38,025 in Premium Bonds. The final two winners, each holding £100,000, reside in Cheshire and Hampshire/Isle of Wight respectively.

In each monthly draw, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are awarded. In the latest February 2026 draw, one of the significant winners hails from Liverpool, while the other winner is based in Central Bedfordshire.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), differ from traditional savings accounts as they do not offer a fixed interest rate. Instead, bondholders are automatically entered into monthly prize draws.

The prize structure ranges from £25 as the smallest monthly prize to £1 million as the largest. However, winning a prize every month is not guaranteed, with more smaller prizes distributed compared to the larger sums. Typically, numerous £25 prizes are awarded alongside two £1 million prizes. The maximum amount allowed to be saved in Premium Bonds is £50,000, with each pound invested corresponding to a distinct bond number.

The odds of winning a prize each month are 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond held. Winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I and can choose to receive their prize in their bank account or reinvest it into Premium Bonds. Additionally, they can utilize the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app to verify if they have won.

The current prize fund rate, akin to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60% and has remained consistent since the August 2025 draw. Recent data shared by This is Money revealed the most fortunate areas for winning Premium Bond prizes, highlighting Hampshire and the Isle of Wight as the second luckiest region where 42 individuals secured the £100,000 prize in 2025.

Moreover, Essex, Outer London, Norwich, and Cumbria also demonstrated good fortune in Premium Bond wins in the previous year. Essex celebrated 37 £100,000 prize winners, while Outer London and Norwich each had 32 winners. The £1 million jackpot was claimed twice in Norwich and Cumbria in 2025.
