“Bono’s Hollywood Property Under Police Inquiry”

Just a few months after Bono, the lead singer of U2, shared about his coping mechanisms following his mother’s tragic passing when he was 14, his investment property in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, became the focus of a police inquiry after reports of a stabbing incident emerged.

The 65-year-old musician was not on-site during the October 8 incident. Bono, who previously gave a pessimistic response when asked about his favorite song, has been associated with the property for years. However, reports indicate that an alleged stabbing occurred at the property, which was under construction and intended for worker occupancy at the time.

According to TMZ, LAPD officers and emergency responders arrived at the scene at around 1:20 p.m. Pacific Time to initiate an investigation. Emergency services, including a fire truck and ambulance, were dispatched, and a helicopter was seen circling the area.

Specifics regarding the purported stabbing incident remain unclear, and its occurrence has not been verified. Bono, who is currently out of the country, was not implicated in the episode.

It was disclosed in November 2023 that the U2 frontman is one of several investors with a stake in the property. Situated on a hill, the estate overlooks West Hollywood’s Fairfax Avenue and features a main house with a triangular shape, a seemingly elongated pool, and a multi-level guest house.

Bono’s interest in the property grew during U2’s 40-date Las Vegas residency at The Sphere, which ended in March 2024, reportedly earning the band $1 million per show. The property is being developed by Plus Development Group, co-founded by Tyrone McKillen, the son of Bono’s business partner, Paddy McKillen, with whom he shares ownership of a whiskey distillery in Ireland.

The property’s design is credited to Noah Walker. While not publicly listed, it is said to be available for sale, with potential buyers given private viewings.

The asking price remains undisclosed, but neighboring properties and those developed by the same team have fetched substantial amounts. For instance, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Scooter Braun purchased a Brentwood property for $65 million in 2021.

The Mirror US has contacted a representative for Bono for a statement.
