Police have initiated an inquiry into the mysterious deaths of a social media influencer and her teenage daughter, who were found deceased after concerned neighbors raised the alarm.
Lidiane Aline Lorenco, aged 33, and 15-year-old Miana Sophya Santos were tragically discovered lifeless in their 11th-floor apartment following worries expressed by residents about their well-being.
Due to the prolonged absence of the mother and daughter, neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from their residence.
Upon arrival at the apartment building in Rio de Janeiro, the Fire Department, receiving no response, forcibly entered the premises. Subsequently, Lidiane was found in a bedroom, with Miana located in the living room, both believed to have passed away some time ago, according to local sources.
The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police confirmed they are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Lidiane, known for her significant social media following of over 54,000 on Instagram, was an influencer, model, and had pursued a medical education before her demise.
Having relocated to Rio de Janeiro from Santa CecÃlia a few years back, Lidiane had been living alone. Meanwhile, Miana had recently moved in with her mother in the Rio apartment after attending the Irma Irene Basic Education School in Santa CecÃlia.
This incident follows the tragic deaths of Ana Carolina Silva, a 41-year-old nail salon owner, and her partner, military officer Jeferson Luiz Sagaz, 37, who were discovered lifeless in a motel room in Sao Jose, Brazil, on August 11.
After celebrating their daughter’s birthday and a night out, Ana and Jeferson failed to collect their child the next day, prompting concern from family members. Subsequently, the couple was found deceased in the motel bathtub under suspicious circumstances.
A toxicology report revealed the presence of cocaine and significantly high blood alcohol levels in both individuals, suggesting they had lost consciousness in the scalding water. Authorities ruled out various causes of death through forensic tests conducted by the Civil Police.
Ana’s family has expressed doubts about her alleged drug use, raising concerns of possible involuntary drug consumption or poisoning. They demand a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind her demise.
Despite the police concluding their investigation, the family remains steadfast in their pursuit of justice and preservation of Ana’s memory, rejecting any unfounded assumptions and emphasizing their commitment to seeking the truth.
