Hyperoptic, a broadband provider, has announced a mid-contract price increase of £4 per month starting from April 2026, up from the previous rise of £3 per month. This change will impact both new and existing customers across all Hyperoptic broadband plans. Despite previously stating opposition to annual price hikes, Hyperoptic joins several telecom giants in implementing larger increases recently.
In contrast, Sky Mobile will raise bills by £1.50 monthly for most customers from February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract customers in over seven years. O2 is set to increase monthly bills by £2.50 from April 2026, an adjustment from the initially planned £1.80 rise.
Three mobile customers opting for data plans of 4GB or less will see a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, up by 80p from the current £1 rise. Plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will experience a £1.90 uptick, while those with over 100GB will face a £2.30 raise. Three broadband users will see their bills climb by £3.50 per month.
Vodafone mobile customers signing up after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plan users facing a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband customers, on the other hand, will incur a £3.50 monthly price hike. Existing Vodafone and Three customers will see their agreed-upon rates increase accordingly.
For those out of contract, comparing prices online could lead to savings, especially by assessing actual usage needs. Switching providers or negotiating with the current one for a better deal are viable options. Additionally, individuals claiming benefits should explore eligibility for reduced social tariffs.
