“Transgender Inmate Released Despite Threats to Mother”

Transgender inmate Barbie Kardashian has been released from incarceration despite law enforcement expressing serious concerns about her future actions following threats to harm her own mother. Kardashian, originally known as Gabriel Alejandro Gentile before legally changing her name and transitioning to female, was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in March 2023, with the final 12 months suspended. She completed two years and six months of her term before being released on Wednesday.

During her trial, a jury found Kardashian guilty of making seven threats against her mother, including plans to sexually assault, torture, and harm her using various weapons. She served her sentence at Limerick Prison and is now under a two-year post-supervision release order from Limerick Circuit Court. Despite concerns raised by law enforcement about her intentions, Kardashian maintains that she poses no threat to the public and remains steadfast in her decision to undergo gender confirmation surgery.

Detective Garda Niall Fitzgerald testified that Kardashian still poses a significant risk to her mother and the broader community. Kardashian had disclosed her intention to harm her mother to staff members of a care facility in 2020, detailing her disturbing plans in written notes. Diagnosed with multiple personality disorders and a history of abuse, Kardashian’s unrepentant attitude towards her actions led to serious apprehensions expressed by the probation service.

Judge Tom O’Donnell highlighted the lack of remorse shown by Kardashian and the high risk of re-offending, citing concerns about her potential for future serious crimes. The court emphasized the need for close monitoring of Kardashian’s movements post-release and noted her narcissistic tendencies and desire for attention. Despite having a significant criminal record, Kardashian has agreed to strict conditions upon her release, including residing at an approved address, notifying authorities of any address changes, and disclosing any new relationships.

In conclusion, Judge O’Donnell urged relevant state agencies to take heed of the warnings outlined in the probation reports regarding Kardashian’s behavior and potential risks to society.
