Karoline Leavitt achieved a significant milestone by becoming the youngest-ever White House press secretary in January. During the initial months of Donald Trump’s second term, the 28-year-old has been actively involved in various endeavors.
Leavitt has strongly supported Trump’s extensive deportations of migrants, faced accusations of disseminating misinformation, engaged in frequent clashes with journalists while endeavoring to restructure the White House press pool, and has faced backlash for downplaying a Signal group chat controversy. Despite her status as the youngest White House press secretary in history, Leavitt has displayed adeptness in handling the repercussions of Trump’s divisive decisions.
Having undertaken internships at Fox News and the White House while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Leavitt served as Trump’s press secretary throughout the 2024 campaign. In a video shared on Instagram last October, she provided insight into her daily routine, emphasizing President Trump’s work ethic.
In the video, Leavitt welcomed viewers aboard Trump Force One, showcasing its luxurious interior adorned with branded items. She then embarked on a journey from West Palm to Erie, Pennsylvania, where she interacted with supporters at a rally before reboarding the plane with the president and his team.
The day continued with a stop in New York before an early start for media engagements the following morning. Leavitt later visited the Fox News studio, criticized Kamala Harris, and accompanied Trump on a tour of hurricane devastation in Georgia. The day concluded back in West Palm Beach, where Trump announced Leavitt’s upcoming role as White House Press Secretary.
Trump commended Leavitt’s exceptional performance as National Press Secretary during his campaign, expressing confidence in her abilities to effectively convey the administration’s message. With Leavitt set to take on the role of White House Press Secretary, Trump reiterated his belief in her capabilities to excel in the position.
