“Jake Paul Eyes Anthony Joshua Showdown Amid Fight Uncertainty”

Eddie Hearn has not ruled out the possibility of a surprising matchup between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, as Paul seeks a new opponent. Originally scheduled to face Gervona ‘Tank’ Davis in Miami on November 14, the fight is now uncertain due to allegations of battery and kidnapping against Davis.

Paul’s promotional team, Most Valuable Promotions, has confirmed the initiation of an investigation following the civil lawsuit filed against Davis in Miami-Dade County on October 30, 2025. They emphasized their commitment to condemning violence and conducting a thorough review before making any decisions regarding the fight.

While the replacement opponent has not been disclosed yet, several names have been floated, including Ryan Garcia, Edgar Berlanga, and even Joshua. Hearn, the promoter, hinted at the possibility of a bout with Paul, stating, “Just let me know where.” Hearn recently indicated Joshua’s return in February, suggesting it is unlikely for him to fight again this year.

Joshua has been absent from the ring since his loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. If he does not fight this year, it would mark the first time in his professional career that Joshua has not competed in a calendar year.

Sky has unveiled a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and over 1,400 live matches covering the Premier League, EFL, and more. The broadcaster will showcase a minimum of 215 live Premier League games next season, a significant increase from previous seasons.
