A man has pleaded guilty to murdering his infant son after fabricating a story about the child’s kidnapping. Riverside County authorities confirmed that Jake Haro entered three guilty pleas for charges of murder, filing a false police report, and endangerment of a child.
The incident occurred two months ago when seven-month-old Emmanuel was last seen alive. Both Emmanuel’s father, Jake, and mother, Rebecca, were arrested in connection with the case. While Jake has admitted to the charges, Rebecca’s plea remains unknown.
Rebecca initially reported the alleged kidnapping of her son on August 14 from a car park in Yucaipa, California. However, inconsistencies in her account raised suspicions among investigators, leading to the belief that Emmanuel was deceased and prompting a search for his remains.
Following further investigation, it was revealed that Emmanuel was likely killed days before the reported kidnapping. Jake briefly left jail to assist in locating his son’s remains. The last confirmed sighting of Emmanuel was on August 5, according to reports.
