Co-op is gearing up to debut 11 fresh outlets this week, with a comprehensive roster of locations already confirmed. From Bristol to the Scottish Highlands, the new store locations span a wide geographical area, including the inauguration of Co-op as the first permanent retailer at the recently developed Brent Cross Town in London.

The upcoming store openings consist of a combination of brand-new outlets, franchise-operated stores, and stores reopening after undergoing a redesign. This initiative is part of the retailer’s strategic investment plan encompassing over 200 new and revamped stores by the year 2024/25.

This recent announcement adds to the 50 stores previously disclosed by Co-op set to welcome customers this November and December, just in time for the festive season. The retailer is urging the government to implement business rates reform in the upcoming Budget.

Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the company’s dedication to establishing local stores that serve as community hubs, catering to the needs of residents and enhancing local life. The retailer’s commitment extends to supporting British farmers, suppliers, and local job creation across the UK.

Furthermore, Co-op unveiled a range of new benefits for its membership scheme, including personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, and special deals. Shoppers can potentially save over £90 throughout October, November, and December, with monthly prize draws for members based on their in-store and online spending.

Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Director of Membership, highlighted the retailer’s ongoing efforts to provide added value to its members through enhanced personalized offers, expanded features, and substantial discounts. This initiative underscores Co-op’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and rewarding its loyal members.
