Travis Kelce’s former partner, Kayla Nicole, has asserted that she refrains from comparing herself to other women following allegations of Taylor Swift disparaging her in her latest album.
Shortly after Taylor released The Life of a Showgirl, Kayla posted on Instagram a snapshot of herself at a dinner hosted by Hollywood Confidential in Los Angeles. Adorned in a stylish brown silk halterneck dress with a curly bob hairstyle, she exuded effortless elegance.
In her post, Kayla, aged 33, expressed gratitude for sharing a table with renowned female figures who have served as inspirations throughout her womanhood journey. This event occurred subsequent to Travis Kelce declining to sign an autograph for a young Chiefs fan with a brief explanation.
Kayla’s appearance coincided with the announcement of Taylor and Travis’s engagement. She lauded Hollywood Confidential for fostering an environment that celebrates visibility, sisterhood, and authentic storytelling. A special acknowledgment was extended to the evening’s honoree, Mara Brock Akil.
The host of the Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole podcast later shared a video on her Instagram Story featuring model Eva Marcille from America’s Next Top Model. In the clip, Marcille emphasizes her individuality rather than comparing herself to others.
Additionally, Kayla reposted a meme on her Instagram Story conveying a message about having audacity and courage when presented with opportunities.
These social media posts emerged after Taylor’s track Opalite, known to be inspired by Travis, seemingly contained lyrics aimed at Kayla. Notably, the verse “she was in her phone” is believed to reference a past incident where Travis criticized Kayla for excessive phone use.
The lyric “and you were just a pose” likely alludes to the couple’s frequent appearances together on red carpets. Travis and Nicole initiated their relationship in 2017 after initiating contact via Instagram but eventually ended their five-year on-and-off relationship.
These events unfolded amid criticisms directed at Taylor Swift for allegedly exploiting her album for financial gain.
