Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have announced a joint venture for an upcoming project. The former bandmates will embark on a road trip across the United States in a three-part documentary series to be featured on Netflix. Directed by Nicola Marsh and produced by Campfire Studios, the untitled series will showcase Zayn and Louis in what is described as “a spontaneous adventure of reconnection, exploration, and plenty of laughter.”
The documentary offers a rare glimpse into the lives of two of the world’s most renowned and private individuals, as they share insights on life, loss, and fatherhood. The release date for the series is yet to be revealed.
This collaboration follows the recent loss of their fellow One Direction member, Liam Payne, who tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16, 2024. Zayn and Louis, along with the remaining bandmates Harry Styles and Niall Horan, attended Liam’s private funeral in Amersham, Buckinghamshire on November 20, 2024.
While reports suggest that Styles and Horan will not be featured in the documentary, fans are eager to witness Zayn and Louis rekindle their friendship, particularly after a public falling out on social media in May 2015. The duo has shown signs of reconciliation, with Louis attending Zayn’s concert in Los Angeles and the pair being spotted together playing darts in Franklin, Tennessee.
In addition to this project, Zayn and Louis have exciting plans in their music careers. Zayn is gearing up for a seven-night Las Vegas residency starting in January 2026, while Louis is preparing to release his third studio album, “How Did I Get Here,” in January of the following year, followed by a world arena tour in the summer of 2026.
