During his return flight, Donald Trump found time to go online and assert that Joe Biden should be imprisoned, expressing satisfaction in seeing his former opponent distressed. Trump referenced an article on the JustTheNews website, questioning the validity of the FBI investigation memo that initiated the probe into Trump and his associates regarding the January 6th events.
The credibility of the memo was challenged by House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan, a staunch Trump supporter, who suggested Biden’s pardons were questionable due to lack of evidence. Trump seized on this to demand Biden’s incarceration, despite the absence of substantial legal grounds.
Additionally, two federal prosecutors were reportedly suspended after recommending a harsh sentence for a January 6th rioter who carried weapons to Obama’s residence. The revised memo omitted details about the rioter’s actions and his immediate visit following Trump’s disclosure of Obama’s address on Truth Social.
Trump had previously pardoned the said rioter upon taking office.
Furthermore, Trump announced tariff reductions on Chinese imports following negotiations with Xi Jinping. The agreement includes a substantial decrease in tariffs and a significant soybean purchase commitment from China. However, critical issues such as Taiwan and Russian oil purchases were not addressed during the discussions.
Amid escalating tensions, Trump disclosed plans to resume nuclear testing in response to other countries’ activities in this regard. He emphasized the need to maintain parity in nuclear capabilities, citing recent developments in Russia as a factor.
On domestic security matters, the Pentagon has directed the National Guard to establish rapid-response units across all states to address civil unrest effectively. The deployment is scheduled for early next year to swiftly counter any disturbances.
Allegations surfaced regarding the misuse of government resources by Kash Patel, who allegedly utilized an FBI jet for personal travel to attend an event. The incident occurred during a government shutdown period, raising ethical concerns.
Elsewhere, Elon Musk stirred controversy by endorsing extremist views and associations, urging collective action against perceived threats. His statements have sparked debate and criticism within the public sphere.
