Lewis Hamilton Expanding into TV and Films

Lewis Hamilton is working on a new TV show concept and a couple of animated films through his production company, Dawn Apollo Films. The seven-time world champion played a crucial role in bringing the successful F1 movie to theaters.

Known for his interest in creative projects outside of racing, Hamilton, 40, has a passion for music production and is now venturing into the film industry, with the F1 film marking his significant debut.

The F1 movie, which grossed £479 million ($629 million) globally, became the highest-earning sports film ever, surpassing Pixar’s Cars 2.

In an interview with The Ferrari Magazine, Hamilton expressed his satisfaction with his involvement in the film production process, collaborating with director Joe Kosinski and meeting renowned composer Hans Zimmer during the four-year journey.

Following the success of the F1 movie, Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films remains active in the film industry, with plans for upcoming productions already in motion.

Hamilton shared his enthusiasm for storytelling and the need for inspirational narratives in today’s challenging times. He revealed his interest in a television comedy show and a couple of animation movie concepts, emphasizing quality over quantity in project selection, akin to Quentin Tarantino’s approach.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can now enjoy live coverage of every practice, qualifying session, and race with Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, saving £192 and including access to around 100 TV channels, Netflix, and Discovery+.

Hamilton highlighted the significance of maintaining a creative balance alongside his racing commitments, emphasizing the value of finding inspiration and staying uplifted through creativity.

On the track, Hamilton aims for his first podium finish with Ferrari in the remaining races of the 2025 season, where the team is engaged in a tight battle for the Constructors’ Championship against Mercedes and Red Bull, holding a slim one-point lead over their rivals.
