“Gene Simmons’ Wife Refuses to Ride with Him After Crash”

Gene Simmons’ spouse, Shannon Tweed, has disclosed that she no longer feels comfortable riding in a vehicle driven by her husband following his recent involvement in a car accident. The 76-year-old rock singer was taken to the hospital after crashing his SUV into a parked car in Malibu, California, but has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

According to reports, the Kiss bassist, also known as “The Demon” on stage, stated that he passed out while driving, leading to the accident. Shannon, 68, informed TMZ that she has decided not to ride with Gene anymore, although she has not directly told him to stop driving. Instead, she plans to have their children address the issue with him.

Shannon mentioned that despite the car’s bumper being damaged, the vehicle itself is not beyond repair. TMZ previously indicated that Gene’s family had urged him to hire a driver after a prior incident where he crashed into a brick wall, but Gene had dismissed their concerns.

While Shannon is fine with short drives, she is now adamant that Gene should not drive on the freeway. She expressed concern that the airbags in his car did not deploy during the recent accident. The crash occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, with witnesses calling emergency services. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Gene was released from the hospital after a check-up.

Shannon revealed to NBC 4 that the accident might have been caused by recent changes in Gene’s medications and insufficient hydration. She emphasized the importance of water intake for his health.
