Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, receive accolades for their approachable demeanor during royal events. Insiders reveal that Catherine has a remarkable way of connecting with people that often poses a challenge for her security team.
Dwayne Fields, Chief Scout who has interacted with the Princess of Wales in her capacity as joint-President of the Scout Association, shared insights into Catherine’s unique style of engaging during official visits.
During the Employee Network Awards at the London Hilton on Park Lane, Fields explained how Catherine effortlessly puts individuals at ease upon her arrival. He mentioned that she goes to great lengths to connect with people, even physically matching their level by sitting down on the ground if they are engaged in activities like reading or drawing.
This genuine gesture by Catherine helps those around her feel comfortable instantly and showcases her innate warmth and empathy. This hands-on approach was exemplified by the Princess of Wales and Prince William during a visit to a children’s shelter in Delhi, India, back in 2016.
Despite concerns from their security team about the potential chaos, the royal couple chose to leave some security officers behind to interact more freely with the children at the shelter. Sanjoy Roy, co-founder of the Salaam Baalak Trust, praised William and Catherine for their respectful and meaningful interaction with the children, highlighting their genuine care and calm demeanor.
The Duke of Sussex recently faced a setback in his legal battle against the Home Office over security protection decisions following his decision to step back as a senior royal and move to Canada and then California with Meghan. In response to the ruling, Prince Harry expressed reluctance to bring his family back to the UK under the current circumstances.
